Welcome to the " Lanka Beach Villa" in the South of Sri Lanka with a private pool, big garden and staff !
Our villa was built 2011 in a coconut palm grove directly on the beautiful beach of Rekawa Welodaya near the idyllic town of Tangalle in the South of Sri Lanka, only about 210 kms South of Colombo. On this beach there are now only a few simple bungalow resorts.
The Villa:
You will enter the spacious and luxurious villa via an inner court yard with a fountain. There will be four double bed rooms with air condition , each with a private bath room (en suite) and an extra exit to a terrace. Also there will be a large living room with TV, a kitchenette and various roofed and shades terraces with sea view and with nice furniture.
The exclusive design of the villa will include teak wood floors, oriental rugs, hand made teak wood furniture and mosquito nets in all four bedrooms.
From the main terrace with a close sea view you will reach the private pool (11 m x 6.5 m) which will be only a few steps away from the sea and which will be situated in a nice tropical 1600 m2 big garden. Here you can relax on one of the sun beds in the sahde of the palms....
The villa is rented with staff which will take care for your personal well being and will also organize trips into the beautiful vincinity if you like to.
Your meals will be cooked in a separate kitchen in the staff area below the house with a separate entrance to secure your privacy. The staff will only enter your private space to serve the food and to clean.
Trips:
There is so much to see and so much to do !
The South of Sri Lanka is still completely unspoilt from the mass tourism , therefore the locals welcome each foreigner with a heartly and true welcome. Especially the nature here is completely untouched and very beautiful.
In a comfortale distance to the villa there are two of the most impressive national parks of Sri Lanka: The Yala National Park with its highest desnity of leopards in the world and the Udawalawe Nationa Park with the big herds of elephants (up to 60 animals in one herd !).
Enjoy a boat trip on the lagoona of Kahandmodara or in the bird santuary of Bunadala or on the Walawe river and watch many monkeys, birds and the not dangerous warans.
You should not miss the visit to the turtle conservation project in Rekawa only a few kilometers away: From November to April the big leaterbak and the green turtles come here to our beach to lay their eggs. You can watch this together with a ranger form the turtle conservation project. We are happy if we can make arrangements for that nature spectacle for you !
Also during this time of year the biggest sea mammals, the blue whales, arrive in front of the shores of South Sri Lanka. Whale watching then can be organized from Mirissa in bigger boats.
Also you can catch your own fish on a fishing trip with locals directly from our beach.
Make a canoo ride on the nearby lagoons where many birds can be seen, buffaloes bathing there all the time.
Are you interested in the rich culture of Sri lanka ? Then go to see one of the oldes temples of the country, the very beautiful Pahala Vihara Rock Temple in Mulkirigala close to Tangalle. Use the open tree-wheeler for that trip. A true experience ! Also you can visit the famous Hindu Temple of Wewerukannala near Dickwella.
